image-21POLY-BIO is a nationally funded Research Promotion Foundation project. The main aim of the POLY-BIO project is the design and implementation of a multi-modal biometric system that will offer users enhanced security in physical or remote access. The human biometric characteristic as opposed to PINS, cards or codes, constitutes the absolute means for secure user identification that prohibits impostors from abusive usage of the system.

The consortium constitutes of Phillips College, University of Cyprus, Signal Generix Ltd and PrimeTel Plc who will design and implement the appropriate technologies based on the extraction, analysis, coding and classification of the human biometric characteristics that cover the areas of voice recognition, fingerprint identification, hand geometry and face recognition, with the aim to develop a robust multi-modal system that will eliminate False Acceptances and False Rejections.
