Research and Development

    PrimeTel’s Research and Development department composes PrimeTel’s ongoing effort to provide state-of-the-art technological services to its customer’s constantly increasing base, both through in-house development as well as by means of strategic partnerships with international and national leading academic institutions, top research centers and strong industrial partners.

    The R&D team conducts research and development based on innovating emerging technologies and is responsible for the development and optimization of PrimeTel’s telecom services as well as for the development of new innovative services and products. The R&D team brings together the creativity, technology skills, experience and business acumen to shape the future by anticipating trends and developing new business solutions.

    PrimeTel’s R&D team has successfully participated and is currently active in various EU programs such as the Η2020 (HORIZON 2020), FP7 (Framework Program 7), CIP (Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme) , RPF (Research Promotion Foundation) and Eurostar – EUREKA programs. These projects focus on research and development topics that deal with optical networks, wireless systems, mobile communication, fixed to mobile convergence, QoS, QoE, security, software defined networking, network virtualization, content delivery networking, IP services etc. PrimeTel’s participation is important in these projects primarily to align the objectives and targets according to an operator/ISP interests as well as support in the validation of project outcomes in a real telecom operator’s environment.
