Facebook Reels are now available worldwide

Meta has officially announced the global launch of Facebook Reels in the social networking applications for Android and iOS devices, giving content creators in more than 150 countries the opportunity to increase their audience as well as their revenue.

The company claims that almost 50% of the time users spend on social networking applications is about watching videos, while the Reels model shows the fastest growth compared to any other video format.

Some time ago, Meta had announced a bonus program for content creators, which can bring them up to $ 35,000 a month depending on the quality of the Reels and the views they record. Now he wants to add more revenue channels by showing ads inside Reels. The tests will be done in the first phase in the US in two ways, either translucent ads that will be visible at the bottom of the videos, or static ads that can be pinned wherever the creator wants.

According to Meta, the Reels will appear in various parts of Facebook, such as Stories, on the Watch tab, but also as suggested in the users' feed. The latter will be able to leave likes, comments or even share their favorite Reels, as well as directly support the creators.
