Man arrested for re-selling PS5, Switches, and more that were for delivery

Tokyo police arrested a 50-year-old man for allegedly reselling approximately 200 video game consoles and games that were scheduled for delivery.

According to Sankei News, the suspect was entrusted with 200 PlayStation 5s, Nintendo Switches, and games at the request of a delivery business friend. Instead of delivering the load, the suspect sold more than half of the consoles that day to gaming stores in Tokyo's Akihabara district.

The Japanese media report that the man who finally confessed is unemployed. He said that " “I made off with the load because I was having money problems. I bet nearly all the money on horse racing.

It should be mentioned that the value of the consoles totaled 5.8 million yen ($51,000), and it’s believed that he made over 3 million yen ($26,000) in profit.
