Over time, the Android operating system has evolved to be supported by more devices such as watches, tablets, televisions, and cars. Apps and games play a very important role in the development of this ecosystem, as they unlock unique digital experiences for our work and play.
Wanting to make it easier for users to find top apps on all compatible Android devices, Google is rolling out an upgrade to the Google Play Store that will make it easy to discover and install new apps on various devices right from the user's smartphone.
By going to the “Other Devices” section, the user will find separate home pages depending on the device he chooses (Wear OS smartwatches, Android TV, Car), where there will be the corresponding compatible applications, as well as recommended ones. Also, new ones have been added filters to find games and apps specific to each type of device.
Finally, after finding the application you were looking for, you will be able to install it on the compatible device directly from the smartphone. For example, you may have found an interesting Android TV game while browsing on your smartphone. You press install from the smartphone screen and the application makes its way to your TV.
