Yes. You can do switch your SIM to eSIM safely at MyPrimetel selfcare. Login or register your account and then go to "Mobile" from "My Services".
Click on eSIM services to initiate the online process. Note that to switch you need to be the owner of the number and to have the two factor authentication enabled.
You can also replace your card with an eSIM by scheduling an appointment through Zoom at the Primetel Virtual Shop or by visiting one of the Primetel stores.
Primetel eSIM is supported by all eSIM compatible Smartphones and Tablets.

There is no specific up-front cost for eSIMs, apart from the Mobile Service Registration Fee which is charged for all new mobile subscriptions.

Yes, eSIM QR codes are unique. Each eSIM has its own distinct QR code that contains specific information related to the connected subscription. Once the QR code is scanned and as long as the eSIM is activated on your device, the QR code becomes inactive and cannot be used again. This unique QR code ensures that only your device can access and activate the eSIM associated with your subscription.
eSIM will be activated when your phone is first connected to our telecom network in Cyprus. It can then be used either in Cyprus or worldwide.
With the activation of the eSIM, your physical SIM will be deactivated.
In the event that your phone has been stolen or lost, you should immediately contact our Call Center (133) for the deactivation of the eSIM, to prevent it’s unauthorized use. We will be able to replace your eSIM at Primetel Virtual Shop or any Primetel shop. The charge for the replacement will be according to the Company’s Pricelist.
That depends on your device. If the device supports it then you can use a physical SIM and an eSIM simultaneously.
To change an eSIM between devices, or the installation, removal and re-installation in the same device is not supported. If you want to reinstall an eSIM profile, you can do it in the following ways:
- Visit the Primetel Selfcare subscriber zone
- Through the MyPrimetel App
- Book an appointment through the Virtual Shop
- Visit one of the Primetel stores
Activating the eSIM is done simply by scanning a QR code.
More than one eSIM profiles can be supported. The number of the supported eSIM profiles may vary according to the device’s specifications (usually one or two).
After the activation of an eSIM, the old physical SIM is automatically deactivated.
