Is Netflix planning to add video games in the next year?

According to Bloomberg, Netflix has hired Mike Verdu as director of Project Innovation for the platform's gaming division, which could mean that the company is ready to enter the game streaming service industry.

Verdu has made significant contributions to the gaming world from time to time, working in  Electronic Arts and Facebook's augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) divisions. The language Bloomberg uses suggests Verdu has yet to officially make the transition to Netflix.

Netflix hasn’t commented on the matter, however, Bloomberg claims that the company’s entry into the gaming world is expected to take place within 2022.
