Google announces new Android features

Google has announced in a blog post that is adding new features to Android, including new widgets for YouTube Music, Google Play Books, and Google Photos; new Android Auto features; and updates for Google Assistant and Google Photos.

New Android and Android Auto features

1. YouTube Music, Google Play Books, and Google Photos People & Pets widgets for your home screen.
   
2. Android 12 phones like Google Pixel 6 or Samsung Galaxy S21 can be used as BMW car keys.
3. Family Bell notifications for household activities.
4. Memories reel in Google Photos for every holiday or other festive occasions.
5. Auto-reset permissions for unused apps on most all phones, even those still on Android 6.0.
6. Thousands of new Emoji Kitchen combinations for Google Gboard.
7. Automatic Android Auto launch when the phone connects to your car.
8. Always-on play button on your Android Auto home screen to launch favorite music.
9. Faster voice-to-search button for finding music.
10. Smart replies for Android Auto that let Assistant answer texts quickly with ready replies and custom messages.

Google stated that the last two new Android features will be released soon, while the others are now available.
