Earlier this year, Google unveiled the Gemini app for Android, which allows users to switch their default assistant from Google Assistant to Gemini. On iOS, Gemini was initially exclusively available through the official Google app. Google today launched a dedicated Gemini app on iOS devices in response to user feedback.
The official Gemini app for iOS is compatible with all iPhones running iOS 16.0 or later. It supports the following languages:
English, Arabic, Bengali, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Marathi, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.
The Gemini iOS app gives users access to both free and Gemini Advanced capabilities. A Gemini Advanced membership includes Google's most recent and powerful model, Gemini Live, as well as features such as Gemini for Gmail and Docs. Gemini Live provides a more seamless speech experience for brainstorming ideas, researching new topics, and so on. Gemini iOS users can test Gemini Advanced with a one-month free trial available within the app.
Users with a work Google account who do not have access to Gemini Advanced can still use the Gemini mobile app on iOS if their Workspace administrator has granted access to both Gemini Apps and Google Assistant.
If the age on your Google account is 13 or older, you can download the official Google Gemini app from the Apple App Store and utilise it.
The launch of the Gemini app for iOS is a big milestone in Google's efforts to make its AI technology more accessible to over a billion iOS users. With its user-friendly UI and impressive functionality, the Gemini app could become a popular AI tool among iOS users.
