Google's Gemini app is now available in Europe and UK

Google's Gemini app for Android and iOS is now available in the UK and Europe, after its previous country/language expansion in April.

Google is rolling out the Gemini mobile app to "more countries across Europe and the UK." To use Google Assistant on Android, either download the app/shortcut from the Play Store or opt in through a card that shows when you activate it.Since its introduction in the United States in February, it has expanded to new areas.

The Gemini app now includes popular voice features from Google Assistant, such as timers, calls, and reminders, with plans to add more in the future.

Google said at I/O 2024 that Gemini Extensions for Calendar, Keep, Tasks, and Utilities (similar to Android's Clock app) would be released in the coming months. This comes after the launch of the YouTube Music integration. Last month, Google showcased upcoming Android features, like Gemini Live.

On iOS, Gemini will become a new tab in the Google app "over the next couple of weeks."

Gemini currently supports the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Vietnamese.
