Meta renames News Feed to just....Feed

Meta is changing the name of the News Feed on Facebook, ie the main section of the social network where users browse to see what their friends and the following pages have shared (and not only). From now on it will be simply called "Feed", as the company recently revealed on Twitter. The name "News Feed" accompanied the social network for more than 15 years.

In a sense, this is a significant change, as Feed is the main body of Facebook. On the other hand, it is simply a change in the name that now better expresses the multifaceted content that users see in their Feed, while the user experience is not affected in any way.

Analysts, however, associate the name change with the separation that Meta wants to make between the general (now) Facebook Feed and the new Facebook News tab that is gradually being launched in different countries. Just yesterday it started in France and Meta claims that in this tab will appear news from a wide range of reputable and valid media, for multifaceted information and avoidance of fake news.
