Microsoft is making a huge change in the branding of Microsoft Office. After 30+ years, Microsoft Office will be rebranded as Microsoft 365 to highlight the company's highly popular suite of productivity apps. While Office apps like Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint won't change, Microsoft will now refer to them as part of Microsoft 365 instead of Microsoft Office.

The company first hinted at the impending rebranding a year or two ago, when it renamed its Office 365 subscription service Microsoft 365, but now it's going even deeper.

In the coming months, Office.com, the Office mobile app, and the Office app for Windows will be rebranded as Microsoft 365 with a new icon, a new look, and even more features.

This means that if you use any of the separate Office applications, very soon you will see them with a new typeface and name Microsoft 365. The first changes to the logo and appearance will be visible next November on Office.com, while from January Office apps for Windows, Android and iOS will follow.

The new Microsoft 365 suite includes Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Loop, Clipchamp, Stream and Designer tools. The Microsoft 365 application will become a central hub for all users' files and folders, with the ability to create groups and organize content, as well as a wealth of communication and collaboration functions.
