Microsoft announced that Windows 10 users increased by 300 million in 2020. The software company celebrated in March 2020 that users had surpassed one billion, revealing that reached a new record with 1.3 billion active users.

However, Microsoft acknowledged that this increase in demand happened after the coronavirus pandemic, while users found themselves purchasing larger-screen devices due to remote work.

Microsoft earned $ 41.7 billion against the $ 41.03 billion that analysts had predicted. The increase in the company's revenue was extremely affected by the services of Office 365 and Azure cloud.

Furthermore, Productivity and Business Processes revenue was $13.6 billion, up by 12%. This category includes Office Commercial products, Office Consumer products, and Linkedin. Revenue in More Personal Computing came in at $13 billion. Windows OEM was up 10%, Windows Commercial products and cloud services were up 10%, Xbox content and services were up 34%, Search and advertising was up 17%, and Microsoft Surface products revenue was up 12%. Finally, revenue for Intelligent Cloud was up 23% at $15.1 billion.
