Netflix removed support for the third-generation Apple TV in June. The streaming giant has stated that it will no longer support older iPhones and iPads running iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. The app on these devices will not receive any future updates.
The most recent update to the Netflix app includes a warning regarding the end of support for iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 devices. The alert states, "We have upgraded the Netflix app! To utilize the most recent version, install iOS 17 or later.
The impacted devices are the iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus. The same is true for the first-generation iPad Pro and fifth-generation iPad, both of which are still running iPadOS 16, as support for iPadOS 17 has already been terminated.
