OpenAI's ChatGPT online search feature is now available to all users, including those without an account.

On Wednesday, OpenAI announced on social media platform X that the ChatGPT search feature is now available to all users without requiring registration or login.

To use the search tool, users need only click the search button. ChatGPT then responds to their query in the standard conversational AI chatbot style. ChatGPT, on the other hand, includes pertinent information from the Internet, such as photographs and links that indicate where the information came from. The links are presented in a search engine-like manner.

When the search feature first launched, it was only available to paid ChatGPT subscribers. In December of last year, OpenAI launched ChatGPT search for all logged-in users. Anyone can now utilise ChatGPT search without creating an account.

According to a Semrush research, OpenAI's chatbot product is increasingly driving search traffic to third-party websites, despite Google's dominance in the search market.

It will be interesting to see how people' online search habits evolve when new possibilities, such as ChatGPT search, become more commonly available.
