Researchers from Stanford University have created a new system that shows exactly how many calories are burned during exercise.

It is interesting that people can make wearable device themselves. Researchers of the project also claim that smartwatches and smartphones can be turned off by 40% to 80% when calculating the calories burned during activity.

However, the research based on this system from Stanford University says that only 13% may be mistaken in calorie counting. The device was tested on a group of people from the US and it turned out that the device performs extremely well. In fact, during the research, they realized that a possible error could be spotted due to the measurement of the movements of the wrist or heart rate.
