Skunkape Games has officially announced that it has started remastering Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse, which is the third game in the Telltale Games series that was first released in 2010.

The characters Sam and Max were created by Steve Purcell in his youth and later debuted in the comic book series of the same name in 1987. The first port in the gaming world was with Sam and Max Hit the Road, one of the most legendary point and click adventure games by LucasArts which was released in 1993 and was later adapted into an animated television series entitled The Adventures of Sam and Max: Freelance Police (1997-1998). It took 10 years for Telltale Games to take on their own episodic format, while Skunkape Games has already released remastered versions of the first two episodes.

From the first trailer, not many conclusions can be drawn about the work done in the remastering, with the possible exception of the lighting. The game is currently in development with no release date yet, and is expected on Windows PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
