It was more or less expected that we will not see a Galaxy Note device from Samsung again, as the company has transferred several of the features of this family to the Ultra models of the Galaxy S series, but also of the Galaxy Fold.

Until now there was no official position from Samsung on the future of the Galaxy Note, but we clearly had indications of a definitive end. Now, on the occasion of MWC 2022 taking place in Barcelona these days, the head of Samsung Mobile's division, Mr. TM Roh, has given us the official position:

You will see the Galaxy Note from now on as the Galaxy S Ultra. This means that we will not release a new model in the Galaxy Note series. Instead, the Galaxy S Ultra will continue the legacy left behind by this series.

Taking a look at the Galaxy S22 Ultra unveiled earlier this month, it is clear that this is the new generation Galaxy Note, as it follows approximately the same design line (curved screen), has an S Pen and is generally very different from the other members of the Galaxy S series.
