Just a few weeks of testing was enough for Signal to move forward with integrating the Signal Stories feature into the popular messaging service. The company announced that they are now available for the Signal app on Android and iOS devices, and will soon be extended to its desktop version as well.

The philosophy behind Signal Stories is similar to that of other platforms, but the company gives options to users who don't want to see them at all. In Stories you can share photos, videos and text, which disappear automatically after 24 hours from their publication. All posts are protected by end-to-end encryption and you have the ability to choose who they appear to, even individual users.

Those participating in group chats (groups) can make announcements through Stories that appear exclusively to group members, but there are obviously options to share Stories in any other chat or group. If you don't want to receive notifications for every single user who sees the story, then you can choose the relevant command from the settings.

Finally, Signal recognizes Stories as the most popular feature of our time, but also respects users who want nothing to do with them. In particular, it has added an option to completely disable Stories for those who want to have a "clean" messaging service.
