CD Projekt RED has confirmed the exact release date for the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The third episode of the series was released in 2015 and is generally accepted as one of the best games of all time. Since then, of course, several years have passed and the capabilities of game consoles and PCs are significantly greater, which is why the company decided to proceed with improvements that will highlight its greatness even more.

The next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition was officially announced in 2020, and since then fans of the game have been waiting to know the official release date, which is finally December 14, 2022. Since then, the distribution of the digital version for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows PC, which includes all free DLCs, the two major expansions (Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine), a wealth of mods and new material inspired by the Netflix TV series.

The company talks about fully exploiting the capabilities of next-gen gaming consoles and computers, something we will see both visually and technically (eg Ray Tracing, faster loading times). In fact, it will be followed by an official presentation of the gameplay through the official channel of CD Projekt RED on the Twitch platform next week.

It should be noted that those who own any of the versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive the next-gen update completely free of charge. In addition, there will also be an upgrade of the game for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch with numerous improvements and the addition of new material inspired by The Witcher on Netflix.
