After various setbacks, suspensions, cancellations and changes, the famous Twitter Blue subscription plan is starting to take on real substance with the benefits it offers users, which is why Twitter has decided to expand it to more than 20 new countries.
Among them is Cyprus, with the service costing €8/month for access from the web version of Twitter or €11/month for access from Android and iOS devices, while the corresponding annual plans are priced at €84 and €114.
The Twitter Blue package unlocks various perks for subscribers, such as publishing tweets with 4000 characters, videos up to 60 minutes long, the ability to edit already published tweets (the infamous edit button), priority in threads, the display of far fewer ads and of course the blue account authentication tick.
Elon Musk's leadership has a lot of faith in the Twitter Blue package to boost the company's profitability, however, the early indications are not particularly encouraging. Early estimates suggest less than 300,000 subscriptions and it remains to be seen if the launch in more countries will provide a certain boost.
