Twitter will finally add an edit button

Rapid developments on Twitter after the acquisition of 9.2% of the shares by Elon Musk, a percentage that may be small as a number, but does not cease to make him a major shareholder of the company.

Following what happened in the previous days, Twitter announced that Elon Musk is now the new member of the company's Board of Directors and for as long as he serves in this position he will not have the right to hold more than 14.9% in the company.

The second very important development concerns Musk's proposal to add the infamous edit button for tweets. The company announced that in the coming months this feature will be given to subscribers of the Twitter Blue service, but did not give more details about how it works (eg if there will be a time limit and the ability to view the edit history).

The idea behind adding the edit button is to make it easier for users to correct typo or spelling errors without losing any responses and discussions regarding the tweet. It is a huge change of course from the company, as in the recent past it was vertically negative in the possibility of adding an edit button. It is also worth noting that the forthcoming addition was not affected by Elon Musk's stance, as it had been decided some time ago.

Other new features expected on Twitter include the ability to compose and post tweets with other users, as well as share the music you listen to to your followers.
