WhatsApp brings disappearing messages feature to iOS

WhatsApp's disappearing messages feature is already available on Android and it’s coming soon on iOS as well, as it’s being tested on a beta version of the app.

The disappearing messages aren’t just text messages but also messages that contain images and videos. In that case, images or videos disappear the moment the recipient opens the message. For text messages, the message will take seven days before it disappears. The feature is called View Once and is available in both cases.

Users will also see a dedicated button resembling a times in the caption field, and the sender will receive a notification when the recipient has viewed the message. However, it is worth noting that users can take screenshots without the sender being notified.
