WhatsApp now lets you use the same account on up to 5 different phones

Just last year, WhatsApp opened up the possibility of using the same account on more than one device at the same time worldwide, offering the same level of security and privacy. Now, Meta is improving the feature by announcing that you can use the same WhatsApp account on up to 5 different phones.

This is a feature that users of the service have been eagerly asking for many years, with the same account pairing being done in the same way we know from the various WhatsApp apps for web browsers, tablets and desktops. Each phone connects to WhatsApp independently, so that messages, calls, files (photos, links, videos, documents, etc.) are protected by end-to-end encryption, and if the main device remains inactive for a long period of time (it is not specified how long this is), then it will automatically logout from the account on all devices.

Pairing multiple devices on the same account makes using the WhatsApp service much easier and more functional. From now on you can switch phones without logging out of your account and continue your conversations where you left them. Especially for small businesses, employees now have the ability to reply to customers directly from their own devices if they use the same WhatsApp Business account.

The launch of the simultaneous login feature on up to 5 devices is being rolled out in phases and will be seen by all users worldwide in the coming weeks.
