YouTube: Easily extract shorts from videos with a new tool from Google

The key to success for streaming services is a continuous flow of new content, and the only way to achieve this is to offer creators the right tools to make their daily lives and work easier.

Google sees YouTube Shorts becoming a huge success as a competitor to TikTok, and now it's making another move that will skyrocket its output. In particular, the company integrated a new tool into the mobile versions of YouTube for Android and iOS devices, which allows the easy export of Shorts from the original videos.

Creators have at their disposal all the editing tools (crop, filters, timeline, text, etc.) to select and stitch pieces from their original videos in order to export Shorts lasting up to 60 seconds. The latter will also include a link that leads back to the original video, so that the viewer can immediately find the entire video if they are interested.

The tool to extract Shorts from original YouTube videos is already available for the majority of users around the world.
