Apple has rolled out the latest versions of its operating systems for iPhone and iPad, iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2, which bring major new features and a host of bug fixes to compatible devices.

Both versions bring the new Freeform application, which is designed to act as a canvas to take notes or express your creativity and even with the possibility of participation of other users who can add drawings, images, links, etc., while doing sync with iCloud to continue from any compatible device. They also add the Apple Music Sing function, the karaoke of the company's music service.

Among the most important new features of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 is the support of Advanced Data Protection for iCloud, essentially a new system of end-to-end encryption of user data that covers even more categories (e.g. Notes, iCloud Backups , Photos) for the best possible protection of his security and privacy.

Especially for iPads, it is worth mentioning the support for an external screen with a resolution of up to 6K for the Stage Manager function with the possibility of transferring files with drag-and-drop.
