Apple is offering free access to its Apple TV+ streaming service this weekend, from January 3 to 5. The company announced the news on Monday, along with a short video highlighting some of its most popular TV episodes, such as "Severance," "Slow Horses," "Shrinking," and others.

It's worth remembering that this is Apple's first time offering something like this. The move comes a few days after Apple TV+ hinted at opening up its programming to non-subscribers.

A weekend is ample time to binge-watch some of Apple's most popular shows, particularly "Severance," which returns for a highly anticipated second season on January 17.

Although Apple's promotional tweet states that Apple TV+ will be free to watch on January 4 and 5, the official press release states that it will be free from January 3 to 5.

By making its content more accessible, Apple is presumably expecting that people will explore its TV shows and eventually pay up for a subscription to keep up with the show or explore the rest of the streaming service's catalogue of content.

According to the firm, Apple TV+ will be free on any device that supports Apple TV+, and all you'll need is an Apple ID to enjoy the streaming service.
