Apple is officially preparing to announce some new products to the public. Today, Apple sent out invitations to media outlets for its forthcoming press event, which will take place on Monday, September 9.

Bloomberg's Apple analyst Mark Gurman shared the invite he received on his X account, noting that the September 9 date is a day sooner than expected for the press event. This time, the classic Apple logo is encircled by colorful lights, and the tagline reads "It's Glowtime." Of course, the event will be live-streamed for all to see online.

The September press events at Apple are typically the largest because the company releases the next generation in its very successful iPhone series. This year's event is scheduled to showcase the iPhone 16 series of devices. Rumors suggest that some forthcoming iPhone 16 smartphones may feature narrow bezels.

Apple will likely release the updated iOS 18 operating system alongside the iPhone 16. In June, Apple introduced Apple Intelligence, its own version of generative AI, as a key feature for iOS 18. According to current speculations, Apple Intelligence will not be available with the September iPhone 16 release. Instead, it will debut in October. Even then, some elements of the service may not be available until 2025.

Apple's September 9 event is expected to unveil the Series 10 smartwatch and new AirPods devices.
