Epic Games is adding third-party games to its mobile app store and assisting developers with associated iOS payments. The business is launching a free games initiative, covering the cost of titles from participating developers on iOS and iPadOS devices.
With this scheme, Epic will release new free games in its shop every month. The games will be available globally on Android and in the European Union on iOS.
The company's mobile store debuted in August, featuring its own titles such as Fortnite and Rocket League. With this release, Epic Games welcomes the first batch of mobile games from independent creators.
Epic's CEO and founder, Tim Sweeney, claims the company has invested over $1 billion on its digital shopfront.
