Facebook said it would pay more than $1 billion to content creators on its social networks through the end of 2022, according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg. " We want to build the best platforms for millions of creators to make a living," he said on a Facebook post.

"Investing in creators isn’t new for us, but I'm excited to expand this work over time." The aim is to "reward creators for great content they create on Facebook and Instagram", he added.

The company is going to pay all kinds of creators, including those who are just starting to share their content. Facebook will offer creators more ways to earn payouts when they reach certain milestones and provide "funding" for some of them.

At the same time, the giant tech company will add the Bonus section on Instagram this summer and on Facebook this fall where creators will be able to learn various programs. Creators on Instagram can receive bonuses when they sign up to show IGTV ads and sell a certain number of badges live. It is now clear that Facebook's strategy is largely focused on attracting and rewarding influencers.
