Gemini Live now speaks Greek!

Gemini is designed to act as your personal AI assistant - friendly, smart and useful. To make it even easier and more functional to use, Gemini Live extends to Greek, allowing you to chat with it in a natural way. In addition, in the future Gemini will be able to connect to more Google apps in Greek, making it easier to access information and complete tasks on your favorite services.

Gemini Live: Now speaks your language

Gemini Live has been extended to Greek on Android devices, so more users can chat, collaborate and discover the capabilities of conversational AI in different languages. In the coming days it will be available on iOS devices as well.

Gemini Live will support conversations in up to two languages on the same device, and Google plans to add even more languages in the future. You can easily set your preferred languages in the Google app:

1. On your Android device, open the Google app and at the top tap your profile picture or initials.

2. Tap Settings > Google Assistant > Languages.

3. Select Greek or any supported language.

4. Optionally, you can add a second supported language. For now, you can set up and use up to two languages with Gemini Live.

Your AI partner for conversations

Gemini Live is an ideal chat partner. It's like chatting with a friend: you can share ideas, explore new topics or even prepare for an important presentation. Gemini Live can follow the flow of the conversation, adapt to changes and delve deeper into whatever topic interests you. 

Here are just a few examples of what you can do with Gemini Live

• Ask for advice: Brainstorm with Gemini on a range of topics, such as potential jobs that match your skills or degree.
• Plan an event: Chat with Gemini about organising a birthday party for your friends and family.
• Discover new objects of interest and broaden your horizons: Ask Gemini Live about historical facts, scientific concepts or even the rules of a game like chess or mahjong.
• Explore new topics and ideas at a local level: Chat with Gemini about topics relevant to your region or interests.

Your favourite apps, now connected to Gemini

Since Extensions were integrated directly into Gemini, users can do more with apps and services they already use, such as Gmail, Maps and YouTube. In fact, this capability is being expanded by connecting even more Google tools, including Google Calendar, Tasks, Keep and Utilities. With Extensions, Gemini can bring together everything you need from other apps and services and help you perform the actions you want more easily and quickly. 

In the coming days you will be able to connect to new tools in different applications and in Greek, making your daily life easier. Below, here are some examples of how you can use Gemini extensions in your language:

• Ask Gemini to find that lasagna recipe that was sent to you in your Gmail and ask it to add the ingredients to your shopping list in Keep.
• Take a picture of a concert poster and ask Gemini if you're free that day - and even set a reminder to buy tickets.
• Ask Gemini when the next comic book movie you like is coming out, and then ask him to remind you a week in advance to buy tickets for it.
