Google has revealed its plans to expand the Smart Replies feature to Docs, allowing users to quickly respond to comments by choosing a preset suggestion.

Google Docs allows multiple people to collaborate on one text at a time, as they can highlight their comments for other co-workers.

In Google Docs a single document can be worked on by multiple people, and comments can be left for other users to see. Smart Replies feature allows users to click a suggested response to an existing comment, saving them time by not having to type out simple responses, like "Perfect" and "Thank you".

According to Google, Smart Replies will be suggested in English-language Docs comment threads. Smart Replies will be enabled by default, but users who don't want to risk choosing one of the suggested responses will be able to turn them off in the Preferences menu.

Google says it will roll the feature out for everyone starting on September 13.
