Google has created new illustrations for profile picture

If you are not comfortable with using a photo of yourself as a profile picture, Google revealed that it has created new images, called Google Illustrations, that can be used as your Google profile picture.

The company seems to have a wide variety of options, as it has added different categories of images, related to animals, technology, and space.

Google’s new library shows that the company has decided to take a different approach from avatars like Snap's Bitmoji or Microsoft's Xbox avatars, which allow users to create stylized images of themselves. Instead, Google's new illustrations provide you with a wide range of generic things and locations to use for your avatar.

Google Illustrations are only available to Android users for now, but the company said that it’s going to bring them to iOS and the web too.
