Google Chrome is one of the most popular web browsers in the world and its development team is dedicated to the fight to constantly improve its performance. In a recent post, they explain several ways in which they are making progress in order to make the Chrome browser faster than ever.
Google notes that the improvements in Chrome browser performance have been made through a series of code optimizations, including the management of JavaScript, a programming language that is used extensively on the Internet. The company claims that these optimizations result in JavaScript running 10% faster on Mac computers and 30% faster on Android devices.
In addition to JavaScript, Google has made changes involving memory management, resulting in much lower consumption being recorded on Mac and Android. This means that the Chrome browser runs much more smoothly on devices with little RAM, such as older smartphones or computers with modest performance hardware.
The improvements made to the Chrome browser are particularly significant, considering it is used by 65% of users worldwide across all available platforms. In fact, Google is committed to relentlessly pursuing research and implementation of methods that will further increase the speed, stability and security of the web browser.
