Google has announced the release of three new Chrome features designed to help you remain secure online and give you more control over your data. The three new features are an improved Safety Check, the opportunity to instantly opt out of annoying website notifications, and the option to grant site permissions once only.

Chrome's updated Safety Check function will automatically be on the lookout behind the scenes, taking more proactive measures to keep you safe. It can take independent actions such as revoke permissions from sites you no longer visit and flag annoying messages. If it detects something that requires your attention, it will notify you. Safety Check will also cooperate with Google Safe Browsing to keep you safe from unwanted messages.

Next, Google plans to make it easy to opt out of webpage notifications. Users will now notice an unsubscribe button beneath notifications, which they may use if they do not wish to continue receiving them. The feature is first available for Pixel devices, but it will soon be available on other Android phones. In supported devices, this feature reduced notification volume by 30%.

Finally, Chrome users will soon be able to provide one-time permissions to websites. This allows you to completely interact with a website while you are on it, but you are not required to grant websites further control once you leave it. This should help to protect your privacy, especially if you give permission to utilize your webcam.

Google claims it is rolling out these features, so some of you will get them before others. Hopefully, everyone will profit from them soon.
