You can check if a data breach has exposed any of your personal information with Google's handy function. This function, dubbed "Dark Web Report," searches the dark web for information that has been compromised, such as your name, date of birth, phone number, email address, credit card number, etc., and then generates a comprehensive report to assist you in taking the necessary action. Currently available only to Google One subscribers, the capability will soon be made available to all Google Account holders.

According to Google, a notice indicating that the Dark web report option will be eliminated from the Google One app in late July is now visible on the app. But in order to make the feature more accessible to more people, Google is just moving it.

Google will integrate it into the Results about you part of the app and make it available to all users later this month, according to a linked support page. It says:

Dark web report will become available to all users with a consumer Google Account. Dark web report is integrated with Results about you as a combined solution to help users protect their online presence.

Results about you is a feature that helps you find out if your personal contact info, like your home address, phone number, or email address shows up in search results.

The support website also states that the Dark web report will no longer require a Google One membership once it is merged into the Results about you section in late July. Users will be able to stop the service by navigating to the Dark web report dashboard and removing their monitoring profile.
