There are two ways to add a link on Instagram. In the first, you copy-paste the link in the bio of your profile and in the second, you share the link in the Stories with the Swipe-up feature, but only if you have reached 10,000 followers.

Instagram has announced that is testing letting users insert links to Stories on a different way. The company now allows a small group of users to share links of their choice through a sticker. Instagram aims to gain an understanding of how people will use this feature, and then it will decide if it’s useful and if it will be launched publicly.

The new capability removes the need to swipe up on your screen to open a link; instead, you will only need to tap on a sticker. And unlike in swipe-up Stories where you can't make a response, the new linking sticker will let you respond to a Story. For the time being, Instagram hasn’t announced whether it plans to roll out the new feature more widely.
