Meta is once again making waves in the digital landscape by experimenting with how we consume content. This time, the company is introducing Vibes, a new video feed dedicated entirely to AI-generated creations. It’s part of the Meta AI app, now available on both Android and iOS, and it signals just how aggressively the social media giant wants to shape the future of entertainment.
The premise is simple yet bold: instead of scrolling through videos made by influencers, friends, or viral creators, Vibes serves up clips generated exclusively by artificial intelligence. Think TikTok, but powered by machines. Every piece of content in the feed—whether a surreal remix or a visually striking short—is born from an AI model rather than a human behind the camera.
Meta has positioned this as an early preview, meaning the feature is still experimental. Yet the company appears confident that the combination of generative technology and social sharing has the potential to capture users’ attention in new ways. The design echoes the familiar layout of Instagram Reels, making it accessible to anyone who already spends time in Meta’s ecosystem. Vertical videos dominate the screen, while options to like, remix, comment, or share line up neatly along the right-hand side.
But what makes Vibes stand apart is its interactivity. Users are not limited to passively watching what the feed delivers. They can generate their own AI-driven videos from scratch or take someone else’s creation and reshape it. Remixing options include altering the visual look, layering in different music, or even switching up the animation style. Meta clearly wants to turn Vibes into a playground where creativity can evolve through collaboration and experimentation.
The company also ensures transparency about how these videos come to life. Every AI-generated clip is accompanied by the text prompt that produced it. That detail may seem small, but it allows users to learn, copy, or adapt prompts for their own projects. In a way, Vibes doubles as both an entertainment platform and a tutorial space for anyone curious about the mechanics of generative media.
Accessibility is another focus. While the feature is centered on the mobile Meta AI app, these AI-generated videos are not confined there. They can be viewed on desktop browsers and shared across Meta’s wider family of products. Whether it’s sliding into a friend’s direct messages or cross-posting to Instagram Stories, Facebook Reels, or traditional feeds, Vibes content is designed to travel.
Early adopters will notice a personalization layer built into the experience. Meta has said that the more time you spend watching or creating videos, the more the feed adapts to your tastes. Although the preview phase does not yet include a search tool for creators, users can tap on a name displayed in the feed to explore that person’s profile and see more of their AI experiments. Rating options are also available, with a simple “Good” or “Bad” system tucked under a three-dot menu. This feedback is likely part of the machine learning loop that shapes what Vibes prioritizes in future recommendations.
