Last year, Meta started simplifying Instagram videos by merging Feed Video and IGTV into one format - Instagram Video - to make it as easy as possible to create and find the videos you love to watch. Today, efforts to simplify continue, creating all videos through Instagram Reels.

This means that in the coming weeks, video posts under 15 minutes will now have Reels' creative tools. You'll have a tab on your profile to store all of your videos, and Reels that are public and under 90 seconds will still be eligible to be recommended by more people on Instagram. Instagram will continue to work on both local and global music players in hopes of bringing the music library to market users beyond Reels.

Instagram is also introducing a number of new tools, such as Remix, to improve storytelling when collaborating with creators and friends, such as Remix for Photos (coming soon) and new Remix layouts (green screen, horizontal or vertical split screen or image in image reaction view). Plus, Templates are easier to access and discover, so you can easily create Reels with audio placeholders and clips, and simply add your own photos or video clips.

Video is a huge part of why people enjoy Instagram, the creator community uses it to express themselves, collaborate with others and connect with their followers.
