Netflix Games might come to iOS only via the App Store

Netflix took the first step last week in the Netflix Games section of the app for Android devices, offering subscribers the opportunity to play Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops for free in this first phase , Teeter Up and Card Blast, without ads or in-app transactions.

The big question is what will it do to offer the same feature to iOS device owners. In the case of Apple's mobile operating system, there is a barrier to the App Store Terms of Use, as it does not allow third-party services to act as hubs for other games. Therefore, there are no native applications for services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Google Stadia.

Most likely, Netflix will simply have to send subscribers to the App Store to download the available games for free, and then play each game separately rather than through the Netflix application.

In this first stage where the available titles are minimal there does not seem to be any serious problem. However, if Netflix is ​​really serious about expanding into gaming, then it will not be the easiest thing to do if it does not have all the available titles from the separate Netflix Games section.
