Netflix launches new features for Android users

Netflix is adding new features for its Android users. The company has decided to make available to more users the Play Something and Fast Laughs features.

Netflix began testing the Play Something feature back in April and now it’s officially introducing the new feature globally on Android. Play Something feature allows Netflix to recommend things for users to watch. This was designed especially for users, who can't seem to make up their mind on what to watch. Unfortunately, the new feature is not supported on iOS yet, but Netflix said that it will begin testing it on iOS in the coming months.

The company is also introducing its Fast Laughs feature on Android mobile devices in certain regions such as the United States, Australia, Canada, Ireland, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom. The feature shows users short clips of funny scenes from Netflix's library of shows and movies.

Finally, Netflix revealed that the Download for You feature will be coming to iOS in the coming month. This functionality was previously exclusively available to Android users. The feature is optional and automatically downloads and saves content depending on users' viewing habits.
