TikTok announced that Spotify and Apple Music have implemented a new "Share to TikTok" feature. Spotify and Apple Music users may now share songs, playlists, audiobooks, and other content directly on the video platform.
This functionality is comparable to how music streaming services can share tracks straight through Instagram Stories. TikTok allows you pick whether to publish a Spotify tune as a photo, video, or story post. Viewers can select a song, navigate to the appropriate song-sharing platform, and listen to it on their devices.
"Share to TikTok” gives users of music streaming services (DSPs) the ability to share their favourite music, podcasts and audiobooks to TikTok, directly from the DSPs' share menus.
Users can choose to share their favourite content in two different ways:
Users can post to the TikTok Feed (FYP or Stories) by sharing tracks, albums, playlists, podcasts, or audiobooks using TikTok’s popular green screen feature or Photo Mode.
DMs via TikTok Messages allow users to send friends their favorite Spotify music, podcasts and audiobooks.
Previously, to share a playlist on TikTok, you had to send a link via message or post it in the comments section. TikTok also made it impossible to travel outside the app because pasted links were not clickable. Take notice that Spotify has also introduced a music-sharing link with Instagram.
TikTok is a popular platform for discovering and sharing audio, but the firm has announced that it will discontinue its TikTok Music platform later this month, a service that was never released in the United States. Canada has similarly asked TikTok to cease local activities, however citizens in the nation can continue to utilise TikTok without limitation.
