The wait for Sony's second-generation VR headset is almost over, as the company has officially announced the release date and price of the Sony PSVR2. The tremendously advanced second generation is expected on February 22, 2022 at a price of €599.99 and those who wish to pre-order it will be able to do so from November 15, 2022.

PSVR2 comes with 2000 x 2040 OLED displays for each eye, 90-120Hz refresh rate, adjustable lenses, 110° field of view, vibration sensor, USB-C port, built-in microphone, headphone jack, 4x cameras and tech controller tracking, infrared camera for tracking eye movements, infrared sensor for proximity and 6-direction motion recognition system (3-axis gyroscope + 3-axis accelerometer).

It will be available from direct.playstation.com in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. In addition to the basic package that includes the device, the two VR2 Sense controllers and headphones, there will also be a combination with Horizon Call of the Mountain (price €649.99), while the VR2 Sense controllers will also be sold separately at a price of €49.99.
