TikTok now accepts up to 10 minute video uploads

TikTok tends to turn from a small video platform into an equal competitor to YouTube, as the company announced that it is extending the time limit for videos that its users can post.

Specifically, the service had started with videos lasting 15 seconds, then increased to 60 seconds, last year in July it reached 3 minutes and now everyone can post videos lasting up to 10 minutes!

A TikTok spokesman said that they are constantly looking for new ways to enhance the creativity of content creators and believe that the long enough time limit will unlock new possibilities for anyone interested.

The truth is that TikTok is trying to become YouTube and Facebook Watch while its competitors are trying to make it look like features like YouTube Shorts and Instagram / Facebook Reels. Who will manage to win the biggest piece of the pie will be seen in the coming months.

The launch of the 10 minute videos on TikTok is worldwide and will be available gradually over the next few days / weeks.
