Instagram post previews work on Twitter again

Instagram has announced that users can now see previews of Instagram posts on Twitter. The support for Twitter Card previews started yesterday and now when users share an Instagram link on Twitter a preview of this post will be shown in the tweet.

Prior to this change, when users shared an Instagram link on Twitter, the tweet just displayed the Instagram link's URL. The feature is rolling out on Android, iOS, and the web.

After being acquired by Meta in 2012, Instagram disabled the ability to see previews of postings on Twitter. Instagram's founder and former CEO, Kevin Systrom, stated that the decision was made by him, not Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. However, Instagram was not the only party to make adjustments that limited the integration of Instagram and Twitter; Twitter disabled a function that allowed you to find people you follow on Instagram on Twitter a few months after the acquisition was announced.
