Twitter now lets you add photos, videos and GIFs in a single tweet

Twitter is rolling out a new feature that lets you add photos, videos and GIFs to the same tweet at the same time. Until now, the platform allowed only one media format to be inserted in each tweet, such as multiple photos.

Users of the social network will be able to see mixed media tweets in all its available versions, but the ability to post tweets with multiple files of different formats is only given through the applications for Android and iOS devices.

As the company states on its official blog,

We're always looking for new and exciting ways to help content creators share more and be seen more. The ability to mix different types of visual content into one tweet will allow creators to express themselves and share their story beyond the 280 characters of a tweet.

Unlike the recent trial addition of the famous edit button, a feature exclusive (so far) to subscribers of the Twitter Blue package, mixed multimedia tweets will be open to all users to take advantage of this feature.

Besides, there were also developments in the matter of the acquisition of the company by Elon Musk in view of the legal dispute between the two sides.
