Meta has unveiled new features for its instant messaging program, WhatsApp. The social media giant is launching a slew of camera effects, selfie stickers, faster reactions, and the ability to share sticker packs with WhatsApp users.

WhatsApp's new camera effects now offer over 30 backgrounds, filters, and effects to customise your photographs when you record and send photos/videos to friends and group chats. When conversing on WhatsApp, you can double-tap a message to see your most often used reactions in a scrollable UI and instantly respond to the message with the right one.

WhatsApp has updated its stickers feature, allowing you to turn your selfies into stickers. After selecting the "Create" icon in the sticker tray, you'll see a camera option for taking a selfie and creating your own sticker.

The business stated in its announcement post that this feature is presently only available to Android users. It will be available to iOS users in the near future. Speaking of stickers, you can now send sticker packs you find on WhatsApp to your friends directly in their chats.

To share a sticker pack with a friend, go to their conversation, open the sticker tray, tap the three-dot button next to the sticker pack, and then tap Send. After that, a link to the sticker pack will be immediately inserted in the text area, which you may share with your buddy.

Meta has been working on improving its sticker-related features for a time. It was claimed in October of last year that the instant messaging software could soon allow users to exchange sticker packs with friends. WhatsApp has also incorporated the GIPHY sticker library and launched a custom sticker maker, allowing users to create, modify, and share stickers with others.
