WhatsApp allows users to join or leave ongoing group calls anytime

WhatsApp has announced that is rolling out a new feature that will allow users to join easier group video calls. Until now, users weren’t allowed to join an ongoing video call, but now they will be able to leave and join whenever they want.

In fact, users will be able to view any ongoing call and can simply tap the call from the list to join while at the same time they will have the option to leave a call "missed", if they don’t want to join. And if you are being invited to a group call, you will now see a preview of who is already on the call. Plus, you'll be able to see the entire "guest list," including those who were invited to join but have yet to do so.

The update is rolling out today and will be available to all WhatsApp users in the coming weeks.
