WhatsApp introduces Keep in Chat feature for Disappearing Messages

The Disappearing Messages feature in WhatsApp allows users to share sensitive content without worrying about their message ending up in the wrong hands or being misused by the recipient.

However, the service's development team announces the addition of the new Keep In Chat feature, which gives the recipient the option to keep the incoming message even after the time limit set by the sender has passed. Provided, of course, that the sender's permission has been obtained.

The procedure is extremely simple and quick. When the Disappearing Message arrives in the conversation, the recipient can hold his finger over the message and then a notification will be sent to the sender informing him that the recipient wants to keep this message visible in the conversation. It will be up to the sender to approve or disapprove this request and it is obviously all up to them.

In case he refuses, the message will self-destruct after the first viewing by the recipient or after the time limit originally set has elapsed. If he approves the request, then the recipient will continue to see the message in the conversation and a bookmark will be placed on the latter informing him that it has been added to the Kept Messages Folder.

Like every other new WhatsApp feature, Keep In Chat is being launched gradually to users and will be seen worldwide in the coming weeks.
