WhatsApp is admittedly one of the most user-friendly solutions for communicating with friends, colleagues and family, as it offers a very easy-to-understand interface and a wealth of features that make everyday life easier for users. However, there is always room for improvement.
Meta has announced new features that are gradually being launched on the service, this time focusing on polls and captions, as users now have another feature beyond the usual ones.
Starting with captions, users will be able to add descriptions to accompany the uploads of documents, photos and videos shared in their conversations. Recipients will also be able to share these files with other WhatsApp users by keeping the description given by the first sender or removing it.
In terms of polls, the polls solution has proven to be a lifesaver in group chats, as different groups of users can come together to organize various topics in a much easier and more direct way. For example, consider that you want to go on a trip with your friends. Through the poll, the creator declares certain dates and other users can "vote" which one suits them. The new development in polls gives the creator the ability to allow multiple answers instead of one, receive notifications whenever there is a change in the poll, and also perform searches to find only polls that have been made within the conversation.
Moreover, the WhatsApp development team is also preparing a new feature for iPhone users, which will allow them to completely transfer their history from an old iPhone to a new one by simply scanning a QR code without involving the iCloud service anywhere. This is a great solution especially for those who are not subscribed to any iCloud plan and are left with only the 5GB of free storage that Apple offers.
